Demi Lovato Cops Heat For Tweet Detailing “Prank” Involving Sex Worker

Demi Lovato Twitter Sexual Assault

Demi Lovato is copping a whole lotta heat after revealing her bizarre tour antics via Twitter.

The 25-year-old singer was rattling through one of her friendly Q&As with fans when one curious Lovatic (a Demi Lovato die-hard, for those who don’t know) quizzed her on the “funniest prank” she’s ever pulled. In a since-deleted tweet, Lovato recalled a “prank” involving a sex worker and her security guard.

It appears that Lovato’s followers didn’t see the humour in the story, and the Twitter hordes were quick to blast her for essentially “sexually assaulting” her unsuspecting bodyguard.

Noticing the cyber torches and pitchforks coming her way, Demz deleted the tweet and offered a non-apology apology that was sure to nip the problem in the bud.

Shockingly, her response only added fuel to this garbage fire and her followers went on to drag her for comparing sexual assault with… craving jelly beans.

At this point the singer clearly realised that an *actual* apology was in order along with some damage control so she reminded her followers that she was a victim of abuse at the hands of her late father, as detailed in her 2013 song Warrior.

In the gut-wrenching ballad, Demi labels herself a “warrior” and a “survivor” of assault by her “criminal” father, with lyrics like:

“I’ve got shame, I’ve got scars
That I’ll never show
I’m a survivor
In more ways than you know”.

As the hate continued, one dedicated Lovatic offered the singer compassion, writing:

“Baby…… we know you and your story.”

“That’s just the thing… people DON’T know my full story..” Demi responded.

Lovato’s father Patrick died of cancer in 2013, and she has sung about their troubled relationship in several songs including the 2015 ballad Father.
