Coachella has peaked for the year, it’s all done now, thanks to the wildest celebrity pairing that we never knew we needed until right this moment. On Friday night, our girl Shania Twain partied with our other girl Nicki Minaj, and there are Instagram receipts to prove it, and frankly, nothing will ever be the same again.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Nicki Minaj, resplendent in an animal print jumpsuit, arrived at the TAO x Revolve Desert Nights party, then proceed to take over a VIP area and dance on a couch to her new single ‘Chun Li‘. Her crew for the evening included The Weeknd, French Montana, ever-present Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet, and the queen, Shania herself.
Look, there’s lil Timmee there in the back, looking all cute and baby-faced, and there’s Shania in the front, wearing some kind of pink mom sweater and giving off that warm ‘highest-selling female country artist of all time’ glow. What kind of wisdom has she accumulated during her long and storied country-pop career? What kind of secrets did she whisper in Nicki’s ear? We are figuratively dying to know.
At a listening party for her recent album Now, Shania Twain gushed about her love for Nicki Minaj, saying: “I love her. She’s just so raw and vicious and amazing.” Nicki clearly feels the same, captioning her photo “@shaniatwain is so dope in real life.”
As far as the rest of Coachella goes, well, we still have Beyoncé‘s performance to look forward to, and if this leaked setlist turns out to be accurate, it’s going to be lit as fuck:
