Ronald Reagan. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura. Donald Trump. There’s nothing Americans love more than having someone they’ve seen on the TV make the transition into politics, and it looks like Clueless‘ Stacy Dash is next to join the elite echelons of the celeb-politician.
As TIME is reporting, the actress, who played Dionne in both the film and the TV series, has filed to run as a Republican candidate in California‘s 44th Congressional District.
As recently as just a few weeks ago, Dash was canvassing her Twitter followers for their feelings about whether or not she should run for office:

As I’m sure you could have guessed from the fact that she’s running as a Republican, Dash has some pretty ~interesting~ opinions. She’s been a staunch supporter of human buttplugs Mitt Romney and Donald Trump, was at one point suspended from her job at Fox News for saying that Barack Obama didn’t “give a shit” about terrorism on-air andhas previously said that trans rights “infringe upon [her] rights too much” and that if trans people want to use the bathroom they can “go in the bushes“.
All in all, she seems like a lovely person.
She’ll be running against Democrat incumbent Nanette Barragán, in a seat that has been held by Democrats since 2012.
