Feed Yr Rumblin’ Tum In Perth With These Top-Notch Nosh Spots

If you’ve found yourself over on the coast where the sun sets over the ocean and the tiny little furry animals are partial to taking a cheeky selfie, then you’re probably wondering where all the good places are to nosh down some seriously good grub. Just because Perth is on the other side of the country, reasonably isolated, and is seen by everyone else in the country as ‘that place that rarely gets included on music tours’, doesn’t mean it’s void of good eateries.

So here’s a good bunch of starters for when you need to stop and have a breather in Perth – and whet your appetite over on the west coast – because lord knows you gotta recharge.

Satchmo

If you’re fangin’ for some soul food (Southern American-inspired food that feeds not just your tum but also your very being), then Satchmo in North Perth is a must.

The little cafe is bursting with music and fun, while also serving up some god damn mouth-watering plates, including gumbo with a heavy New Orleans nod, and traditional Jewish heart-warmers like matzo ball soupknish, and hamantaschen. They also make their challah breads fresh daily.

Satchmo are also seemingly a tad obsessed with Seinfeld, so if you like your coffee with a side of Costanza, this place is a priority.

Juicy Beetroot

For those who are more into no-fuss plant based meals – hitting up Juicy Beetroot in Fremantle is perfect fall all your veggie needs.

Featuring dishes that pretty much have the whole rainbow in them (exactly how I like to cook), the selection here runs from salads, to curries, and soups.

Juicy Beetroot is very into maintaining gut health through ayurvedic foods, so if you’re also feeling a bit under the weather, this Freo cafe will help to make you feel a little more wholesome.

Also they have a floor-seating option here – complete with cushions at a corner table –  and that is really very good, to me.

Voyage Kitchen

Down in Sorrento, you’ll find Voyage Kitchen – a beachside food spot that serves up super-fresh, ethically-sourced dishes that are satisfying to both look at and chow down on.

If you’re into yum seafood that looks like it was caught literally across the road, head toward the water and grab a bite to eat at Voyage Kitchen.

Plus our mate/Perthonality Lauren Curtis has this spot high on her fave places to have a feed in Perth, so if the locals like it, you know it’s worth a stop.

Peep the video below where Lauren takes a breather in her town, roadtesting Rimmel London‘s 25HR Lasting Finish Breathable foundation and concealer to some of her fave foodie spots.

Mary St Bakery

Known for pumping out some bloody delish baked treats, Mary St Bakery luckily has multiple shops across the WA capital – find ’em in West LeedyHighgateAllendale, and QV1.

Open for brekky and lunch, the bakery has a selection of dishes that are like a really warm and comforting hug, and a range of housemade doughnuts that include ever-changing weekly specials.

The Prophet

If you’re looking for a hell of a feast made with the love that only a family-run restaurant can provide, then look no further than The Prophet Lebanese Cafe in Victoria Park.

Dips and flatbreads further than your eyes can see, and more felafel and kebabs than you can poke a skewer at, the team here truly know how to put on a spread. You probably won’t need breakfast the next day, but you’ll absolutely need the stretchiest pants you own.

This list is absolutely not exhaustive, and we definitely encourage you to shout out your fave Perth nosh spots in the comments.

The best thing is that with Rimmel London’s 25HR Lasting Finish Breathable foundation and concealer, you can munch away without your skin gettin’ cakey or heavy throughout the day.

Molto bene.
