Lena Dunham has maintained a relatively low profile since Girls wrapped earlier this year, but over the weekend, she took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that she has been spending a lot of her time getting inked up.
In the first of several photos she shared, the actress said that she has “been tatting myself up like crazy this month,” showing off a picture of a blooming rose on her upper thigh.
She also revealed another tattoo showing a pair of early 20th century-inspired kewpie dolls scooping tears into a bucket, saying that she has had this one for a few weeks.
“I think it gives me a sense of control and ownership of a body that’s often beyond my control,” Dunham wrote in the caption to a third image, showing a close-up of the rose.
Back in March, Dunham revealed another new piece of ink, this one inspired by Rihanna‘s own famous chest tattoo.
