Never-Before-Seen Simpson’s Script Reveals Moe’s Greatest Ever Line Was Cut

In the grand pantheon of beloved ‘Simpsons‘ characters, it’s safe to say that Poochie, the one-time co-star of the ‘The Itchy & Scratchy Show‘, is not up the top. Actually he probably hovers around the 159th mark tbh.
The sole episode he appears in though, season eight’s ‘The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show‘, is consistently ranked as one of the show’s best, known for introducing the arguably much funnier one-time character of Roy, as well as the first use of Comic Book Guy’s line “Worst. Episode. Ever“.
We miss you, Roy.
Despite it first airing in 1997, this is ‘The Simpsons‘ we’re talking about, the only show with a fandom who will still lose their shit over new info from BTS of a twenty-year-old cartoon episode, which is exacty what’s happening today after showrunner Josh Weinstein tweeted out some never-before-seen scenes.
The excerpt of the script posted by Weinstein is dated April 1996, and shows an alternate version of the iconic scene in which Homer scores the voice acting gig of the soon-to-be-introduced Poochie character and it shows several more auditionees than originally aired, including a pearler of a line from everyone’s favourite barkeep.

Whilst Grandpa Simpson’s super slow rendition, reminiscent of his “so I tied an onion to my belt” rant from whatever episode that’s from, would have gotten a chuckle out of me, I can confirm I would have no-doubt lost it at perennially-pissed-upon Moe, storming out after calling it a “crock of crap”.

Actually, now that we’re talking about this, I feel Poochie is most undeserving of the scorn he has so recklessly been hurled, in fact I’d go as far as to say… I have to go.
