Eight Teens Charged After Out Of Control House Party In The Brissie Burbs

Eight teenagers have been charged after police responded to an out-of-control house party in the Brisbane suburbs on Saturday night.

Police were called to a house in Everton Park, north of the Brisbane CBD, at about 10pm after calls from neighbours that a party had gotten out of control.
When the cops arrived, they reported approximately 50 people – not a huge party, by any means – some of whom were said to be drinking on the street and damaging property.
Eight teens and one 20-year-old man were arrested at scene, with three of them being released from custody shortly after.
The charges aren’t too wild – a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 18 year-old have been charged with obstructing police, with several others copping charges for public nuisance and obstructing police, and one man being hit with a disorderly conduct charge.
The offenders are expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court from February 13.
