Daft Punk Gap Ad

Maintaining your artistic integrity when surrounded by a world of sell-outs isn’t easy.

Perhaps you could wear helmets and never reveal your true identity? Perhaps you could make art films about two androids stuck in the dessert? Perhaps you could avoid the media circus? Perhaps you could hold-out on touring for years and then finally emerge in a pyramid surrounded by millions of dollars worth of LCD screens and fluorescent lights?

Perhaps you shouldn’t have made an ad for Gap clad in Double Denim in which Juliette Lewis dressed like a mid 90s Alanis Morrissette goes for a playful grind on your robotic self?

Did Australia, being Gap Free since 1788, somehow miss this whole Daft Punk chapter?

Would you have been slightly less excited by the Daft Punk tour 6 months ago if you’d seen this? (OR Have you already seen this and am i like so totally 2 years ago?)

Do you still think Feist sold-out?
