Daft P u n k Round 2 – Nevereverland

They came, they saw, they conquered. We wept…

Or munted your face off depending on your inclination. Regrettably I am part of that unlucky few who missed Daft Punk’s first and perhaps only jaunt into our fair lands (my shitty family holiday overseas pales in comparison). Alas no retina scrambling light show, no grainy pictures with the pyramid, no life changing musical experience, no whittling down of my “Bands to see before I die” list.

It is with steely resolve then, that I await the first announcement for Nevereverland’s sophomore run. Modular are playing coy with me, their site merely offering the cryptic “NEVEREVERLAND is coming back in December 2008 to celebrate Modular’s 10th birthday.” Yay, A birthday party! I wonder if Modular will wheel a giant cake on stage and share it with the ravaged masses?

They have set the bar high with Daft Punk, but expect a few surprises to mark the label’s decade of existence in what has arguably been their most successful year. And if the French duo ever-ever come back to Australia I will sell my left kidney to ensure I never-ever miss them again.

Check out the Nevereverland website here… plug in your deats for the latest updates straight from the horses mouth.

For those other poor suckers who weren’t present, this is what we missed out on (tear)…
