Though not as Earth-shattering as a certain pair of robotic French demi-gods, the lineup for the 09 incarnation of the Nevereverland festival is harder, better, faster, and stronger than most.
Comprised largely of Modular’s home stable (the festival also celebrates the label’s 10th birthday) the lineup consists of the usual suspect locals (The Presets, Cut Copy, et al.), Modular international favourites Klaxons and a swag of DJ’s.
The acts I’m most excited to see however are both Australian touring virgins – Disco-revivalists “Hercules and Love Affair” and crafters of ethereally perfect dream-pop “The Whitest Boy Alive”. Pity Antony Hegarty won’t make the trip down under because he probably is the whitest boy alive.
