Whoever’s operating the marketing campaign for Deadpool must be operating off a directive that simply reads “Fuck it, do what you want,” because they are flinging out some straight-up loose behaviour.
We’ve already seen them go for the heartstrings by creating some web posters that make the upcoming R-rated comic book film look like a Valentine’s Day weepy. But this new one today is utterly ridiculous.
Because this is the year of our lord Two Thousand And Sixteen, and we’ve all evolved to the point where we’re basically communicating in rebus, the Ryan Reynolds-starring, fourth-wall breaking, gory, sweary joyride now has itself a billboard that is naught but emoji.
And you know what? They’ve fucking well nailed it.
This idiotic/brilliant billboard is why I’m all in on the DEADPOOL movie. I’m an easy lay. pic.twitter.com/jSRorPvaCp

Get it?
Dead.
Poo.
L.
Whatever they’re paying the geniuses to come up with this shit is either way too much or not nearly enough.
Deadpool hits cinemas in Australia on February 11th.
