LMFAO’s Redfoo Begins Bid For U.S. Open Title, Post-Party Rocking Credibility

Man who lost the fight with taste, Redfoo of the now defunkct APRA and ARIA acclaimed leopard outfit LMFAO, has begun his bid for entry in this year’s U.S. Open Grand Slam tennis tournament. Inspired by his close personal friendship [doing it] with reigning two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka, his wiggling pal Sam Stosur and the excess of time he has on his hands now that party rocking is something most would rather bow their heads and forget, Redfoo Colouring has assumed the mantle for late-thirties reinvention and age-inappropriate dressing since relinquished by his pal Madonna.

Redfoo, real name Stefan Gordy (son of Berry, founder of Motown) is entered in the USTA National California Sectional qualifying tournament, taking place June 18th-23rd in Salinas. He’ll be competing in the sectional qualifying comp’s singles and mixed doubles rounds with his 17-year-old protege Ayaka Okuno. Like the video for ‘Sexy and I Know It,’ there is nothing about that sentence which isn’t upsetting.
Having played tennis as a junior, performed with Madge at the Superbowl that one time and having recently attended a number of tennis matches, Redfoo is perfectly qualified to take on this new sporting life. His is an uplifting story of triumph over sense, ambition over rational thinking. “Just do it! You gotta really want it!” is the message it and his tank top sends to the world, and there’s nothing really wrong with that.
It’s always been a dream of mine to play professional tennis,” said Gordy, a man who wore capri pants to the Grammys, a ridiculous anomaly at age 37.
According to Cinderella (an apt analogy), a dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep; or in Redfoo’s case, fast a-shuffling to the top of the ATP rankings.
