Here’s Every Suburb Impacted By The Sydney Lockdown & What It Means If You Live Or Work There

With four local government areas of Sydney now being subject to a snap seven-day lockdown, there is some immediate confusion as to which suburbs this applies to, and who exactly is subject to it.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced a short time ago that four inner-city LGAs – City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, and Woollahra – will be subject to formalised lockdown conditions from midnight tonight. Those people who live in the area will only be permitted four key reasons to leave the home:

  • Work or study that can’t be conducted at home
  • Care or care giving (which includes receiving a COVID vaccine)
  • Shopping for essential goods
  • Outdoor exercise in small groups of no more than 10

In addition, people who work within those LGAs – but don’t necessarily live there – are being asked to abide by the same lockdown conditions as well.

In the ocean of information being relayed at present, it may be a little unclear as to what suburbs exactly this covers. Here is a list of every suburb that will, from midnight, be subjected to lockdown conditions.
