It’s that time of the year when the casts of all 672 RuPaul’s Drag Race spinoffs are announced, which is fun enough, but this time we have our own Aussie/Kiwi version, and we’re hella excited. If you’re like me and absolutely love the show, you’d probably also be interested in seeing what the queens look like out of drag, so here’s a yarn on just that. Spoilers: They’re all hot.
Now I promise not to write under every queen’s pics that I am just a hole or things of that nature, because I am going to have some decorum in this space. Who knows, some of them may see this, and I would absolutely hate for them to know they could break me like a twig. But hey, let’s uhhh, continue with what we came here to do.
Here are all ten contestants of Stan Original‘s RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under in and out of drag, including the three Kiwis and seven Aussies that will be competing for the crown. Let’s get into it.
Art Simone, Geelong
Anyone who follows this legendary Geelong queen on Insta has probably seen what they look like out of drag in one of their hilarious Insta stories.
Art Simone is hella cute, but I didn’t need to tell you that, because you probably have eyes.
I’m also tempted to dye my hair blue because of how good he makes it look, but then I realise that not all of us are blessed with the abilities to work with blue.
Coco Jumbo, Sydney

Legendary Sydney queen Coco Jumbo! Are we surprised that they look amazing out of drag? Not really.
I mean, to look that good in drag, you need to have an attractive canvas to work with.
As a Sydneysider, I’m secretly hoping Coco goes far, but I guess we’ll just have to wait for the season to air.
Maxi Shield, Sydney

My lord, speaking of legendary Sydney queens, it’s absolutely insane that THE Maxi Shield is going to be on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.
Everyone knows her name, and I cannot wait to see what she does in the show.
Also, Maxi and his boyfriend are adorable together in every single photo they take, and I love them.
Jojo Zaho, Newcastle
I may need to take a cold shower after this… omfg.
Praying to the gay gods that I never have to interview Jojo, because I will not be able to speak properly.
Etcetera Etcetera, Sydney
See what I mean? The cast this year is HOT!
Also, if you’re from Sydney you’ve probably either run into Etc Etc or know someone who knows them. They’re a big deal in the Sydney scene and they definitely know how to perform the house down.
Excited AF for all the Sydney rep this year.
Karen From Finance, Melbourne

One of the best drag queen names, with a smile that is super infectious.
Now we know that the smile is just as bright out of drag as it is in drag.
Am I talking about Karen‘s smile because I don’t want to just say “he’s fkn hot” to every queen? Yes. Yes, I am.
But hey, he is.
Elektra Shock, Auckland

Elektra Shock. No words, just hole.
(I’m breaking my own rule, idgaf.)
Anita Wigl’it, Auckland

Hella famous NZ queen, Anita, is sure to bring the funny this season.
Love him to bits, and he’s cute as hell.
Maybe it was a bad idea to get the gay guy to write about attractive people. I cannot focus.
Scarlet Adams, Perth

No Words, Just Hole 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Maybe I’m biased because my bf WAS a Bunning’s boy, and I just find it hot as hell.
Kita Mean, Auckland

Another legendary NZ queen ready to blow us all away this year, and a clear frontrunner for SURE.
Love him in drag, love him out of drag, and I hope he smashes the competition.
Well, there you have it folks, a bunch of beautiful people in and out of drag. If you need me, I’m off to have a cold shower and repent my sins.
Stan Original‘s RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under airs later this year on Stan.
