Prince Harry Has Admitted He Watches The Crown On Netflix And I’m Excited Because I Love Mess

In what may well be a subtle dig at his family, Prince Harry has told James Corden that he watches The Crown on Netflix, saying that the show gives a ‘rough idea’ of what royal life is like.

In a recent segment that saw the pair travelling around Los Angeles, Prince Harry opened up about his dislike of the British media, saying he prefers the depiction of royal life shown on The Crown.

He said: “We all know what the British press can be like, and it was destroying my mental health. I was like, this is toxic. So I did what any husband and what any father would do.”

Speaking more about the show specifically, Prince Harry said:

“I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself. They don’t pretend to be news, it’s fictional. But it’s loosely based on the truth. Of course it’s not strictly accurate, but … it gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that.”

The Crown offers a pitiless view of the British royals, and while the palace has never officially commented, it is understood that the show’s popularity has proved annoying for the family.

Sources close to the queen say that she enjoyed the first season of the show, but worries that people will take it as an accurate depiction of the facts rather than a fictionalised portrayal.

She is also said to be upset at the way the Prince Philip character comes off as insensitive and unsympathetic to his sons, saying that various events depicted in the show did not happen.

Given the rumored frost relationship between Prince Harry and the royals, his mention of The Crown will surely not to unnoticed by the palace.

We’ll never get an official response, but will eagerly wait to heat what a source close to the queen has to say about all this.
