The Draw For Fully-Vaxxed Aussies To Win A Year’s Worth Of Travel From Qantas Starts Tomorrow

Qantas

Qantas has finally announced its incentive scheme to get Aussie travellers fully vaccinated, and it’s up to us, the travellers, to claim what we want.

Starting from Tuesday, August 24, all fully-vaxxed Aussies will be able to choose from either 1,000 Qantas points, 15 status credits, or a $20 voucher for Qantas or Jetstar flights.

Everyone’s eligible, even if you’ve already been vaccinated.

That’s not all. Everyone who claims one of the above rewards will also be automatically entered into the so-called “mega prize draw” which actually sounds wild.

Ten lucky winners will be chosen to receive a year’s worth of free flights around Australia, free accommodation at 345 Accor hotels (which includes Sofitel, Pullman, Peppers, Mantra, Mercure, Mövenpick, Novotel and Ibis locations) as well as free petrol from BP.

And, if the borders manage to open up in time, the winners will be able to travel internationally for free, too. That’s basically a year-long luxury holiday.

“This is one of the biggest giveaways we’ve ever done. The impact of the pandemic on the travel industry and our own Qantas Group team members means we have a clear vested interest in the success of the vaccine rollout,” Qantas CEO Alan Joyce said in a statement on Monday.

“Our crews can’t wait to get back to reuniting family and friends, taking people on holiday and putting some energy back into the whole tourism industry.

“For us, getting the vaccine rate up to 70 and 80 per cent means thousands of people can go back to work.”

To claim your vaccination reward and enter into the ~mega prize draw~ all you need to do is download the Qantas app, and sign up if you haven’t already.

Then, you’ll then need to use the Medicare app to upload your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate to the Qantas app. That’s it!

The rewards will be able to be claimed from Tuesday right up until the end of this year, so get vaxxed y’all.

All adult Aussies (yep, even if those of us under 40) are currently able to get the safe and effective AstraZeneca vaccine through a GP. Click here to see which clinics are offering it, and talk to a doctor to see if it’s right for you.

Alternatively, you can triple-check to see if you’re eligible for the Pfizer vaccine here.

The best vaccine is the first one you can get, and that’ll be our ticket out of this mess.
