The Subtweet Game is a simple little game in which you play as a Twitter egg trying to gain the affection of your favourite user, one of which is a bot.
The gameplay is simple – a bunch of tweets pop up on the screen and you favourite the ones you fancy most, with the ultimate goal of romancing the tweeter. It’s a great big piss-take on the whole subtweeting culture that exists within the actual platform.
For the non-tweeters out there, subtweeting is the practice of passive-aggressively tweeting about someone but not including their name. They can get pretty nasty, but not in this game, baby, The Subtweet Game is all about trying to smang.
Each user has a unique personality. One is extremely horny, another is pissed off all the time and one talks about senpai heaps. You are senpai.
There’s not a lot to it, so it’s all over pretty quickly, but entertaining nonetheless.
