There are deals and then there are deals. Say you score a free nugget with your cheeky late-night order. Not bad, but not worth dropping in the group chat. Then there’s the kind of deal where you get 24 nugs for $9.95. You know, the “drop everything and drive to Maccas” kind of deal.

This is one of those.

One of Australia’s newest telcos, Circles.Life (powered by Optus), is currently slinging a 100GB SIM-only mobile plan for just $28 per month.

100GB for $28. Or roughly 72 discounted nuggets. That’s not a lot of money for a helluva lot of data.

The offer runs until November 17 and to get it, you’ll need to sign up to Circles using the promo code “100GBFOR28” and activate your SIM by December 31.

There is one slight catch: you only get your 100GB allowance for the first 12 months. After that, your data drops to 20GB per month. The plan is no-contract, though, so you can literally ditch it
whenever you want.

For comparison, spending around $30 per month would normally only get you 20GB.

Or, if you were after a similarly large allowance, the closest option comes from Vodafone, where $65 per month gets you 120GB on a 12-month contract.

Quite frankly, we’d like to know what Circles is smoking.

If 100GB isn’t quite enough, the Circles plan also includes 3GB of “bill shock protection” data, which kicks in if you somehow manage to destroy your allowance. If you manage to use that too, you can purchase an extra 3GB for $6, which is surprisingly reasonable given the standard rate is $10 per GB.

Think of all the nuggets you could buy with the savings.
