Every time a new piece of tech comes out, there are a small group of people who will attempt to load the classic first-person shooter Doom onto it.
For example, some deranged fella actually got Doom to work on the new MacBook Touch Bar. It’s completely unplayable, but that’s not the point. The point is he got it there.
Smart watches and gimmick-laden Touch Bars are one thing, but loading Doom onto the computer of your Porsche 911 is some nek level insanity.
And sure, it doesn’t sound all that impressive, but when you realise he actually has to drive the car to play the game, it becomes way too real.
The video was uploaded to YouTube channel Vexal, who gently takes us through the 5-minute process he claims installs the game before taking us through the controls. Are you ready for this?
Changing gears will change weapons, turning the steering wheel will turn you in-game, accelerating moves you forward and beeping the fucking horn fires your weapon. BEEPING. I am utterly rumbled by this. Completely floored.
Also, there’s a toaster on the passenger seat, which seemed exceedingly strange to me, but upon further investigation of his channel, he may have been using it to control the car’s computer. I’m dead serious, he has a video that explains how to turn a toaster into a PC game controller.
