If you’re looking for something to drive you absolutely fucking insane today, you’ve come to the right place.
Some certified maniac has created a mod that replaces all the enemies in Doom with a howling Crash Bandicoot and it almost makes your weapons feel useless.
Demons? Not scary. Hoards of pouncing Crash Bandicoots screaming “WOAH” as you try desperately to shoot them all in the face before they can continue to assault your ears? Nothing short of a fucking nightmare.
The Woah! Crash Bandicoot mod doesn’t change how the base game handles, so you’ll still be able to pick up and fire the full gamut of weapons, but even the rocket launcher won’t dull the shrieks of a bloodthirsty marsupial.
According to the mod’s download page, the game has a single bug; “A weird orange rat appears sometimes.” Take from that what you will.
I decided to make this after seeing Nitroactive‘s take and being disappointed by the fact that Crash didn’t animate. I also went a little overboard along the way so there’s a Crash variation to replace every monster.
