Netflix Is Likely Launching Offline Mode V. Soon, ‘Cos Buffering Can EAD

There’s absolutely no denying that Netflix has taken over our lives in a considerable way. I’d hazard a guess that most of you have binge-watched an entire series in one sitting when really you should have been hanging out with your cat or whatever.

Nah, he’s busy.
The thing with Netflix is, once you leave the house, you’re free to live out a normal existence without the shackles of a hot, unending stream content. Unless, of course, you’re the kind of fat cat that can afford to pay for all the mobile data required to stream on the go. Well get ready to kiss any remaining shreds of your social life goodbye, ‘cos the streaming company will likely be introducing a download feature for offline watching later this year.
Panthera COO, Dan Taitz, recently spilled the beans on the move, citing industry sources. “We know from our sources within the industry that Netflix is going to launch this product,” he said. “My expectation is that by the end of the year Netflix will be launching download-to-go as an option for their customers.”

Similar to Spotify, you will have the option to save files locally, allowing you to watch content away from a wired or Wi-Fi internet connection. Netflix are yet to comment on the feature, but it certainly makes a lot of sense for them to introduce it (read: continue to destroy our lives).
