Apple Just Announced Four New iPhone 12s & Here’s The Idiot’s Guide To Each Of Them

iphone 12

The iPhone 12 is finally here, and hoo boy, my burning need to immediately buy the newest Apple product is stronger than ever right now.

After lengthy delays, Apple *finally* announced the new iPhone in Wednesday morning’s Apple Event, and here’s everything you need to know.

When it comes to the iPhone 12, you’re truly spoilt for choice with four different models to choose from – iPhone, iPhone Mini, iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max.

All four models are equipped with 5G technology, with the option to drop back to 4G during battery save mode. As someone who still harnesses the painfully mediocre power of 3G in my terrible apartment building, this is a GAME CHANGER.

Unfortunately, Apple has axed the headphones and power adaptors from the boxes, which is disappointing. But you *will* get a new lightning to USB-C cable.

So, which model should you be saving your spare change for? Let’s take a look, shall we?

iPhone 12:

Price: Starts at $1,349

Release Date: October 23, preorders from October 16

Storage: 64gb, 128gb, 256gb

Battery Life: Up to 15 hours during video playback (more for streaming music/general use)

iPhone 12 Mini:

Price: Starts at $1,199

iPhone 12 Pro:

The iPhone 12 Pro is where the camera quality really gets good. It’ll set you back some extra cash, but you can be snapping your brunch pics with 4x optical zoom and recording 4K video at 60 fps (which probably doesn’t mean heaps if you’re not recording video often, but this is a first and a big deal for video peeps).

Price: Starts at $1,699

Release Date: October 23, preorders from October 16

Storage: 128gb, 256gb, 512gb

Dimensions: 6.1-inch OLED screen

Camera: triple rear cameras, HDR 4K video recording capability

Battery Life: Up to 17 hours during video playback (more for streaming music/general use)

So basically, you’re spoilt for choice with this announcement, with four different phones with different specs and drawcards. But if you’re interested in any of them, I’d suggest taking your pick before Friday’s first preorder day, because these bad boys are bound to be snapped up quickly.
