Instagram Keeps Right On Gunning For Snapchat With 2 Sweet New Features

It’s pretty clear that the continually enlarging behemoth that is Instagram is doing its very best to swallow up as much of the social media market as it possibly can – and that means absorbing features from both its big daddy Facebook and its rival Snapchat.

We’ve got two new features  being rolled out to the ‘gram ASAP: live streaming (a lá Facebook) and temporary image messaging (a lá Snapchat).
Basically, the live video works kinda like Periscope or Facebook Live – you whack a button, and can stream live for up to an hour. People can leave comments and emojis below your stream, while you do whatever it is people do on live video (rip massive beugs mostly, to my understanding).
The disappearing videos and images work like Snapchat – you can send messages which disappear after a set amount of time like Snaps. Basically it’s for sexts. Same deal: if your mate screenshots the pic of your genitals you sent to them for no reason, you’ll get a notification.
There have it, folks. Instagram is doing it’s very best to absorb the great things about other networks, and here you are posting photos of your damn toast like some kind of cretin. SMDH.
