Video: Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee For Vogue

Those offended by nudity, piercings, or girl-on-girl action should probably turn away now. Ok, now that I have everyone’s full attention, bless your retina with this behind the scenes look at Greg Kadel’s 2009 photoshoot for Australian Vogue’s September Issue.

The editorial, which was commissioned especially for Australian Vogue’s 50th Anniversary, caused quite a stir last year for a few photoshopped nipple rings but if you thought that was the height of ethereal, semi-sapphic dreaminess wait til you see the shoot’s accompanying video.

Aside from the whimsical styling, folk music from Sun Kill Moon, trippy saturated colour and the beautiful semi-naked bodies of Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee Kershaw cavorting in nature; the best thing about this video is that it reminds me of Helena Christensen in the Wicked Games film clip. Except, there are two models (twice the fun) and Chris Isaak is nowhere to be seen. Bliss.
