Uniqlo Scouting For Sites In Australia

Uniqlo, the Japanese clothing chain which has dreams of becoming the ‘world’s number one casual clothing company’ is apparently looking for retail space in Australia and New Zealand.

Ragtrader reports that Uniqlo, which is taking on the likes of Topman and H&M in the UK and frequently collaborates with famous designers for seasonal lines, have announced their intention to open another 300 stores each year and are ‘considering’ the proposition of launching Down Under.

The high street giant most recently made headlines for donating nearly $30 million to disaster relief in the wake of the Japanese Tsunami earlier this year.
