It picks up where the cliffhanger of season 2 left off, with Rick in intergalactic hyper-security prison, and Morty and the rest of them back on an Earth that’s been taken over by the Galactic Federation and become an alien tourist destination. Expect the usual blend of high-level hard science fiction theory / exhilarating fuckery, because it’s clear creator Dan Harmon is still bringing his A-game.
