Watch This Fucked Up Aussie Parody Of ‘Rick & Morty’ From Michael Cusack

Well god damn, none of us saw this one coming. With time ticking away in the United States until the calendar ticks over to April 2nd, we assumed we’d seen the last of the April Fool’s pranks for the year. But as it turns out, the best was saved for last courtesy of both Rick & Morty and, unbelievably, cult Aussie animator Michael Cusack.

Those of you not familiar with Cusack’s name will no doubt be aware of his work regardless; he is the cooked brain behind the Darren and Damo series of YouTube clips that began with the sensationally good and fucked Ciggie Butt Brain.

We all know that Rick & Morty’s prank last year involved the network dropping the first episode of season three without warning or fanfare, but with no fourth season ordered as of yet that would not be a stunt repeated in 2018.

Instead, viewers in the US tuning into Adult Swim and expecting the scheduled repeat of Mortynight Run got a face full of Bushland Adventures: a supremely fucked-up reimagining of Rick & Morty created, voiced, and animated by Cusack.

In it, Rick and Morty’s relationship takes on a decidedly more abusive aspect, with a deranged Rick virtually kidnapping Morty to go to Bendigo in order to get a “green cube.”

The 11-ish minute episode is yet to hit social media in full, but the odd sneaky clip has been surfacing thanks to some intrepid punters.

Needless to say, response from your standard American viewer has ranged from perplexed to utter hysterics, with the show’s usually calm and rational fans flying off the got dang handle.

Better still, the episode was replayed on a loop over and over until the clock struck midnight in the US.

It’s truly unreal, utterly unhinged stuff. We highly recommend you give it a look via the Adult Swim website right the heck now.

A short time ago, Cusack shared a deleted scene from the clip.

Holy shit this is wonderful stuff.
