Two Dead Following Boston Marathon Bomb Blasts

Two people are dead and the number of injured continues to rise (110 as of the latest report) after explosions went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon earlier today. The explosions occurred more than two hours after the first participants to finish the race had crossed the line, and police confirmed the discovery of at least two other unexploded devises around the Boston area.

In an address to the nation President Obama said, “We will find out who did this and we will hold them accountable.”

“Make no mistake we will get to the bottom of this and we will find out who did and find out why they did this,” Mr Obama said. “Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice.”

There has been no verification whether the attack was by an individual or group but an FBI investigation has commenced. We’ll have more as this story develops.

Devastating footage of chaotic scenes of the two blasts has been released, including the video below by the Boston Herald. The footage contains disturbing imagery so viewer discretion is advised.
