It is reported that locals heard explosions as fire took hold of the factory on Ballarat Road at around 11:30pm last night.
The bodies of three people were found in a room at the back of the factory. They have yet to be identified, but it is believed they were homeless and squatting in the factory.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade claim the fire was contained to only one room. An investigation by police is underway – we’ll keep you posted.
