This Is What Sydney Looks Like Through David LaChapelle’s Phone Lens

Under the cover of relative anonymity afforded to him by virtue of his profession behind the lens, singular fashion photographer David LaChapelle visited Sydney last week to document the city in a fashion you’re doubtlessly familiar with.
That is, through the lens of his mobile phone camera.
The resulting images are a far cry from LaChapelle’s highly-stylistic and contrived – in the greatest possible way – body of work; you only need to revisit the aptly-gaudy tableau vivant that was last year’s annual Kardashian Khristmas Kardashian, or his wonderfully insane sock commercials for a point of comparison.
LaChapelle’s photos ultimately comprise the first submission in a crowd-sourced online exhibition, the fruits of which you can and to and view by searching for #MySecretOz on the platform of your choosing. Contributors to the exhibition automatically go into the running to win a $5,000 travel voucher.
Chances are you’re going to be documenting the city in the same way this weekend – you might as well make a tidy profit while you’re at it.
