Kim Kardashian Punks The Entire Internet, Accused Of Phone Rigging

Say what you like about Kim Kardashian; but the woman is the supreme queen of family brand promo.

This week she managed to trick the most voluminous contingent of maniacs on the Internet (read: Justin Bieber fans) using one of the simplest lies known to man.

Kardashian, whose brother would have probably been booted out of the US version of Dancing With The Stars this week, has 10.7 million Twitter followers, many of whom are also Bieber fanatics. That number was actually the hotline to DWTS where you could vote to keep Rob in the running (why does he not have a ‘K’ in his name, people?) and sure enough, he survived another week.

In summary, everyone is an idiot, but Americans take their reality TV very seriously, perhaps more seriously than their looming elections. Other contestants are calling for Rob to be disqualified and that’s before Kim deals with the bajillions of misled Bieber fans baying for her blood. (Because clearly the pop star has a 1-800 number.) You may remember the similar scandal on Australian Idol way back in 2005, when a contestant’s Dad who worked for Telstra was accused of rigging the competition.

All of this could be avoided, naturally, if these people got actual jobs.

The Kardashians hit Sydney this Wednesday night for the VIP launch of their Kollection range of handbags. We’ll be live-tweeting their phone numbers from the event, so stay tuned.
