Police in Norway say that they have a suspect in custody after the discovery of a suspicious “bomb-like device” in the nation’s capital city of Oslo.
An update on the official Oslo Police Twitter account said: “We have cordoned off a large area when we have found a bomb-like object. We’ll be back with more.”
Law enforcement officials have since confirmed that they have “control of a person with a status of a suspect.”

Speaking to media, a police representative said: “It seems like this device only has potential for causing limited damage … we’re now awaiting further necessary investigations.”
The discovery of this device comes a day after a deadly attack in Stockholm, Sweden, in which a truck was driven into shoppers in a busy pedestrian area, killing four and injuring 15.
