Melbourne model Shanina Shaik is one in a small handful of ‘supermodel search’ graduates to have well and truly shrugged off the shoulder-dwelling monkey of reality television to become one of Australia’s most prolific runway exports. Aside from her returning gig as an Angel on the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Runway Show lineup, Shaik will return to the pages of Vogue Australia for the magazine’s first issue for 2013.
The swimwear editorial, photographed by Todd Barry, was shot on the New South Wales Central Coast with gorgeous natural hair/makeup by Kellie Stratton and has Ms Shaik modelling some of the season’s sportier swim options, proving that sporty can be sexy too (especially you are a miracle of nature with adorable freckles, a Victoria’s Secret Angel’s body and youth).
The January 2013 issue of Vogue Australia goes on sale today.
