Rob Lowe, Ginnifer Goodwin Take On John And Jackie In “Killing Kennedy”

While there have been an abundance of film and TV adaptations that meditate and reflect on the profound impact of Lee Harvey Oswald‘s fatal attack on President John F Kennedy, an upcoming series by National Geographic and Ridley Scott, Killing Kennedy, is a promising addition to the slew of pre-established, well told stories.

Based on Bill O’Reilly‘s book of the same name, Killing Kennedy follows the tumultuous lead up and aftermath of JFK’s assassination in November 1963, focussing both on the First Family and Lee Harvey Oswald alike. And while Rob Lowe is unprecedentedly unpopular IRL and his likeliness to JFK borders on wishful thinking, from the trailer released by National Geographic it’s clear that he will bring the kind of stern, loveable power that so categorised one of America’s most beloved presidents. Michelle Trachtengberg and Will Rothaar play the Oswald husband/wife duo; Ginnifer Goodwin is radiating as Jackie Kennedy Onassis in that infamous pink suit; the stunning production values of Killing Kennedy are equally flawless, crisp and beautifully executed, perfectly capturing the highs and lows that bookended the shocking, fateful event.
Killing Kennedy premieres on November 10.
