Wines With Extremely Pretty Labels Bc That’s All That Matters, Really

Knowing things about wine is hard. Some of us care deeply and will research the hell out of what they’re drinking. They know the brands and regions and years they like.

Me? I know shit-all. I know I like Pinot Noir. Sauv Blanc over Chardonnay. That’s kinda the extent of it.

You know what I absolutely do like? Pretty wine labels. Don’t lie – you do too. When it comes to picking a wine from a line-up that means nothing to you, you’ll go for the cute bottle, right?

Here are some wine brands that are a) making good wine and b) have really A+ bottle designs that’ll really go with your dinner table aesthetic.

LANSDOWNE WINES 2017 PINOT ROSE, $24

Lansdowne Wine’s labels look like actual art, and their drop isn’t too shabby either. This pinot noir rosé features notes like crisp strawberries, musk, and chilled cherries.

CAKE WINES 2016 PINOT GRIS, $288 for 12.

Cake Wines are known for their arty labels – this one features work by Melbourne artist Merideth Earls. The wine? It’s a well rounded vibe with great structure and length.

ALOFT SHIRAZ 2015, $18

This bottle would absolutely work in the centre of some chic, minimalist setup, no? The rich red features dark berry, black fruits and an “almost porty complexity”.

A GROWERS TOUCH CHARDONNAY 2016, $18

This Chardonnay is juicy – think layers of stonefruit, melon and nutty oak. It also has a striking label that’s well worth the $18 bucks alone.

This shiraz has a fruit driven palate, with red berry and cherry flavours teamed with smoky spice. Plus, that elephant drawing looks really cool, OK?

MOET & CHANDON ICE IMPERIAL, $110

Moet & Chandon bottles are always a classy choice, but this all-white Ice Imperial release feels supremely chic, don’t you think? How good would it look in a clear tub of ice in the middle of a metallic-vibe table setting?

EN SAISON ROSE, $16

This French rose has a perfectly balanced crispness with delicate fruitiness to boot. It’s also so pretty. The twee little bike? The pink accents in that label? It basically demands to be the drink du jour for any/all kitchen teas.

LE CHAT NOIR M PIERRE PINOT NOIR, $20

This medium bodied wine has a dry, dark berry finish. It also has that really fab ye olde French artwork vibe.

HOGS IN THE WOODS SHIRAZ, $18

This shiraz is described as intense, powerful, and a bit spicy. It also has a cool, 3-D esque label.
