They, a small percentage of wine snobs who *don’t* appreciate cleanskin and its ilk, can go sit on a corkscrew and rotate after a $5 bottle of rose from Aldi beat out a bunch of pricier alternatives at a Sydney wine show.
Supermarket chain Aldi‘s 2015 South Point rose was among the stars of the Sydney International Wine Competition, out-performing top shelf drops worth ten times as much. 
It was also awarded a coveted Blue Gold medal, the equivalent of silver Australia-wide (only 269 / 1812 wines were awarded medals, so that’s a pretty big deal).
