MECCA’s Giant New Flagship Store In Sydney Is Like A 3-Story Amusement Park For Makeup Addicts

MECCA is about to open a fuck-off big store in Sydney, and with three massive levels it’s said to be like Willy Wonker’s chocolate factory but for basic bitches. I can’t wait.

The store is opening next week (November 27) in Sydney’s historic Gowings Building. It will be the largest retail outlet in the Southern Hemisphere, at 1200-square-metres.

It’s so big that you will literally never leave. Imagine, over 200 beauty brands all in spot. That includes HUGE brands like NARS, Drunk Elephant, Tatcha and most recently Kylie Skin.

“I am so excited to be launching Kylie Skin in Australia and New Zealand at MECCA,” Kylie Jenner said.

What I’m most excited about though is the makeup retailer will be partnering with salon EdwardsAndCo for an in-store blow dry bar. School formals will never be the same now, because you can get your hair styled at the blow dry bar and your makeup done not long after. This is what dreams are made of.

“Partnering with MECCA is a dream come true and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I have always pushed the boundaries to ensure EdwardsAndCo is the leader in Australian hair, so having the chance to partner with the leader in Australian beauty seams like a no-brainer,” EdwardAndCo’s Founder Jaye Edwards said.

At the MECCA MANES blow dry bar, you can opt for any of seven key looks, which includes: classic blow dry, wave, glamour wave, glass straight, guys dry, half-up half-down and natural curl. For a 45 minute session, you’d be looking at $75 AUD.

MECCA will also be offering other services like a brow bar, facial aestheticians, a piercing station and even offers private naturopathy sessions. MECCA are really just out here changing the game. Pamper days all in one location, pure genius.

“I’m thrilled to be creating a store that embodies our exciting vision for the future of beauty and restores Gowings to its former glory with an experience-led strategy that puts the joy back into shopping. It will be the ‘beating heart of beauty’ in the Sydney CBD,” MECCA Founder and Co-CEO Jo Horgan said.
