Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Archs’ first Emanuel Ungaro Collection has been labelled an ’embarrassment’ and had critics rolling their eyes at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, surprise surprise!
Lohan was appointed †Artistic Director’ of the 45-year-old French fashion house, Emanuel Ungaro, alongside unknown designer Estrella Archs in a horrifying collision of the celebrity and fashion world.
Women’s Wear Daily described the collection as ‘hot pink, orange and flashy, with an overworked heart motif relentless in its execution, the collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver’.
The collection which reportedly left high-profile editors ‘aghast’, was comprised of sky-high hemlines, heart shaped sequined pasties over their nipples and tacky bright colours, which did little to defy the already low expectations of the Spring 09 Collection.
Lohan and Archs did the walk of shame to close the show and bowed as the audience attempted to give a sincere applause but with little success.
