HOLY MAGIC: Sydney Symphony Orchestra To Perform ‘Harry Potter’ Film Score

ATTENTION POTTERHEADS. The Harry Potter film-watching experience you deserve is coming.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra has announced two live performances of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, while the film itself is actually playing. At the Opera House.

Bless your cotton socks in case you faint.

The similarities between magical folk and conductors the world over has long been noticed, enough for this meme to be extremely findable purely by searing “conductors ha”.

Obviously, as well as being pure and magical and a chance to mourn the deaths of Alan Rickman and Richard Harris all over again, the performances will also be extremely satisfying from a ‘people waggling wooden sticks around in an arty farty manner‘ perspective.

Tickets go on sale Saturday 15 October at 9am via sydneysymphony.com and (02) 8214 4600 for the not-small price of $49–$139. Ummmm, obviously worth it. But maybe start budgeting.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be playing at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday 27 April and Friday 28 April 2017.
