H&M’s Upscale Label COS Is Finally Bringing Its Chic Scandi Basics To Australia

Fans of minimalist Scandi basics sold at a medium-high retail price point will no doubt soil their tailored leather trousers over news that H&M’s cult sister label COS will soon open its first store in Melbourne at The Strand on Elizabeth Street.

“We are all looking forward to opening COS in Australia,” said Marie Honda, whose position within the company is apparently ‘Overall Brand Responsible’. “Melbourne is a vibrant, cultural and exciting city which we feel will be the ideal setting for our first store,” she continued in typically nondescript press release vernacular, with no indication of an opening date.
News of the antipodean COS advent follows on from last week’s confirmation that H&M will occupy three levels on George Street, Sydney and at North Ryde’s Macquarie Centre and that Miranda Kerr will front the high street stalwart’s Spring 2014 campaign, which will inevitably be nowhere near as chic as this:
