Fenty Clothing Is Going On Hiatus, So Hopefully We’ll Finally Be Getting That Fkn RiRi Album

Rihanna’s iconic fashion brand Fenty is going on an indefinite hiatus, so stock up now before it’s (maybe) gone forever.

The high-end fashion label launched in partnership with LVMH (the company behind Louis Vuitton) back in 2019, marking the first brand the company had launched since 1987 – and the first run by a Black woman. It was a huge accomplishment, and the collection absolutely slapped.

However, it looks like this could be last we see of the Fenty ready-to-wear line, with the company announcing a hiatus in a statement to Women’s Wear Daily.

“Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW [ready-to-wear] activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions,” the statement reads.

Unfortunately, hiatuses in the fashion industry are rarely a good sign, and while I don’t have any insider tea on the future of the company, I’d recommend stocking up now if there’s anything you’re keen to get your hands on.

However, it’s not all bad news for Rihanna because LVMH is also chucking a casual $115 million dollars behind the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, so I guess we’ll all just have to walk around in lingerie all the time now.

As for Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty, which are also owned by LVMH, we’ve got no word on them yet, which likely means they’re still operating as normal and won’t be impacted by the hiatus.

But while she may be going on a hiatus from ready-to-wear fashion, it looks like her musical hiatus should be coming to an end soon, with the R9 album set to drop literally any day now. That could be tomorrow, or in December, we literally don’t know.

Rihanna, babe, just give us the album, we’re begging you.
