Father Of Murdered Teacher Stephanie Scott Killed By Tree In Freak Accident

The father of slain school teacher Stephanie Scott has been found dead just three weeks after her killer was sentenced to life in prison for her murder.
Robert Scott‘s body was found by police this morning on a farm near Canowindra, NSW, where it is believed he was struck by a falling tree, after they received a call that a man in his 60s had died.
The family only recently concluded a gruelling court case surrounding the death of their daughter, which understandably took a huge toll, according to her mother:
“For the love of our beautiful Stephanie, the past 18 months have been a most difficult and harrowing time. So much has been taken away from us and Stephanie has had everything taken away from her.

“Losing her has shattered so many lives and we’re all struggling with the consequences.”
Stephanie disappeared on April 5 last year from Leeton High School where she taught, just days before she was due to be married. Her burnt body was found by police 70km away in the Cocoparra National Park, five days later.
Speaking about his daughter last year, Robert told News Corp that he believes a part of you keeps on living after death:

“When you die I don’t know what happens really, but you leave this body and our spirit is what goes on.

“She [Stephanie] had plenty of spirit so, whatever happens, she should be in the best place possible because she had one of the best spirits you’ve ever come across.”

Unbelievably heartbreaking stuff. More on this as it develops.
