A pap snap of a just-past-jail-bait-age international supermodel wearing a dress from your latest Resort 2013 collection can do wonders for a fashion label’s exposure. Sydney designer taking the fashion world by storm Dion Lee is about to enjoy the selling power of a hot bod and cash cow face combination following highly circulated snaps of model Karlie Kloss wearing a bright blue, high necked Dion Lee gown, taken last week. Although not unusual, Kloss stood out amongst the bevy of beauties at the Australians in New York Fashion Foundation party, held last week at Soho’s Crosby St Hotel.
Dion Lee was by her side, hobnobbing and promoting his Resort collection-all thickly woven neoprene fabrics, mesh detailing and sporty laser cutting, bringing a dressed up touch of Sydney’s beaches to the Big Apple and beyond.

Kanye West (formerly a celebrated musical artist, now one half of fame whore powerhouse, Kimye, aka Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend) has even jumped on board, reportedly the designer of the surprisingly beautiful heels that feature in Lee’s Resort look book – a repeat collaboration from Dion’s celebrated London Fashion Week debut. Cha ching, we hear the sound of Kanye/Kim K/Karlie K fans running to the stores. Please note, the general chutzpah of none of the three aforementioned people are included in the RRP of a Dion Lee dress.
