You ever see something done on a sporting field that was so good it just pissed you off?
It happened. You saw it happen. And you could appreciate how good the thing you just saw was. But all you’re left with afterwards is a burning, white-hot fury for no other reason than shit like that should not be possible?
Well prepare your screaming pillows, because your blood pressure is about to spike.
LeBron James, he of the “will not stop requesting more front court help ’til the Cavs trade themselves out of every draft until 2100,” went full-LeBron earlier today as the Cavaliers took on the Washington Wizards.
With the game hanging perilously in the balance and the Wizards clinging to a tiny lead with mere seconds left in the fourth, John Wall hit free throws to pad the buffer out to 3-points with 3.4 seconds remaining.
Enter: James, who stuck onto the end of a Kevin Love outlet pass and… and…
He fucken well did this.
That’s bloody outrageous. Catches the ball, gets beyond the arc, turns 3/4 of the way around, keeps his feet in bounds, leaps, completes his rotation, falls backwards, gets the shot off, clears his opponent, and banks it off the glass and in. All inside 3 seconds.
It’s bullshit. It’s utter insanity. It should be illegal.
What’s more, the Cavs turned it on in OT, running out 140 – 135 winners.
The wheels might be wobbling, but they’re not off yet.
