The moment you step behind the wheel you become fifty times more likely to rage at some idiot on the road. That’s a fact. Proven. Science. Look it up (do not look it up).
Just because you drive professionally doesn’t mean you’re immune to that, or indeed immune to suffering the bullshit moves of other pro-drivers.
Daniel Ricciardo, proving the ‘Straya within him runs deep as shit, had himself a wee little run in with Kimi Raikkonen during a practice session for this weekend’s Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Trying to run his Red Bull car through a hot lap to test out the limits of the car’s new power unit, Ricciardo found himself foiled at literally every turn by Raikkonen, who was both very keen to drive at his own damned pace, and not too chuffed on the idea of letting Ricciardo pass him.
Not content to just swallow that and let it go, Ricciardo made his feelings abundantly clear by first giving Raikkonen the ole’ drive-by sit n’ spin, and then following that up by calling him “a cunt of a bloke.”
And oh lord, aren’t we ever glad that cameras and microphones exist.
Bloody GET HIM, DANNY.
Ricciardo set the famous Monaco street circuit ablaze, clocking the fastest practice lap of the day, ahead of Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
