The Most Interesting Part Of NBA Finals Game 2 Was A Fight In The Stands

Oof. It’s still reasonably early days yet and the series has gotta shift on over to Ohio, but if the Golden State Warriors‘ clinical demolition of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first two games of the NBA Finals are anything to go by, then there’s a few brooms that are preparing to go to work.
Today’s Game 2 of the series was somehow less remarkable than the regulation towelling the Warriors inflicted on the Cavs in Game 1; the only truly interesting aspect of the game being the fact that the Cavs hung around for an entire half this time before the Dubs put on the afterburners.
In fact the game was so dang run-of-the-mill that the most interesting thing about it was a post-match brawl in the stands between fans.
As LeBron James, JR Smith, and the Cavs dejectedly exited the Oracle Arena floor, broadcasting cameras caught a wild skirmish that erupted between fans jostling to get a vantage point on the Cleveland race.

When the crowd fight is more interesting than the basketball…

Turns out one slightly entitled fan sitting at floor level tried to ascend into the stands and jockey someone out of their spot in an attempt to get the perfect shot of the exiting Cleveland side.

Also turns out the fan sitting in said spot was in possession of zero time for his shit.

Guy in front of us sitting on the wood wanted to take a picture. He backed up in the aisle, security told him to get out the way. He came in our section and told me “get out the way I got more $$$,” told him to get behind me… he kept yapping and then it went down. It’s the Bay, we don’t play that sucka shit.

The fan in question reportedly declined further media interviews owing to the fact he’s travelling to Cabo tomorrow on vacation.

Y’know, the word “hero” gets tossed around a fair bit, but…
