‘Strayan Fisherman Reels In 4M Tiger Shark Using Handline, Impressive Gumption

If the most impressive thing you’ve done thus week is answer an email, please take several seats and pour one out for Western Australian fisherman Brendon Hilder, who set out in search of salmon for dinner and instead landed himself a four metre tiger shark using 200m of handline and a helluva lotta old fashioned gumption. Ken oath.
Per a very important report in the West Australian Times, Hilder’s initial expectations of a surefire catch were surpassed considerably when he unknowingly entered into a two hour battle with his soon-to-be nemesis that required the assistance of a passerby, without whom:
It would have taken me a hell of a lot longer. A four metre shark has a fair bit of pull on it. I was absolutely knackered. I had at least 200m of line out. It burnt me out. I couldn’t even hold my handle, I was that buggered.
The West Australian report that, after posing with the shark for the necessary ‘can you even?’ souvenir, Hilder and a crowd of onlookers made sure it was released into the deep from whence it came. His is an ordeal similar to that of these legends, who two days ago looked death square in the eyes and escaped with little to show for it but this insane video and a close encounter with approximately one pair of soiled pants.
‘Straya.
