Ronda Rousey Keeps Her Promise, Escorts Lucky Dude To Marine Corps Ball

Ronda Rousey has emerged publicly for the first time since her defeat at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193, to keep her promise and escort a young Lance Corporal to a Marine Corps Ball in South Carolina.

In August of this year, 22-year old Jared Haschert swung big when he invited his “celebrity crush” Rousey to the ball, in a Facebook post that subsequently went viral.
Celebrities almost definitely get a million and one of these things a week, but for whatever reason, Haschert’s proposition got through to Rousey, who agreed to accompany him.
Though she has been laying low since her November loss to Holm, Rousey gamely showed up at the ball, and afterwards, thanked her date for “being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again.”

Thank you Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert for taking me to the Marine Corps Ball, being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again ????

Rousey, who was hospitalised after her defeat by Holm, is unsure about her future back in the ring, and told ESPN “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”
