Let’s hope Shane Warne’s Melbourne All-Stars make it through to the finals and we get to see the sheik of tweak take to the field once again. Sure it would be great to see him bowl one last time (if he is to retire) but more importantly, how good are the sledges going be after Warnie’s WAG Liz Hurley took to twitter to support her man after he was handed a one match ban and fined $2400 after his mid-pitch confrontation(s) with fiery West Indian Marlon Samuels on Sunday night.
If Warnie wasn’t prone to his own bouts of twitter indulgence, we imagine he’d be a little bit embarrassed. But it is a sweet show of support nonetheless and hell, we even agree with her. BBL is all about the drama and entertainment and that’s what Warne was providing.
We just hope that the Gossip Girl star would receive the same support should a return to the big screen yield similar responses as those she received for her 2002 film stinker Serving Sara.
