Actress Liz Hurley has rushed to London to be by the bedside of her nephew, model Miles Hurley, after he and another man were stabbed in the street in what has been described as a “brutal attack.”
In an Instagram post overnight, Hurley wrote:
“My 21 year old nephew Miles Hurley was brutally attacked by four men in London on Thursday night. He was repeatedly stabbed and lost more than four pints of blood. A policeman was patrolling close by and administered first aid until the ambulance arrived. The deepest wound just missed severing his spine. By some miracle no vital organs were damaged. We are praying that these animals are caught before they maim, or even kill, someone else. These are sad days.”
Police are currently appealing for witnesses to the attack, which occurred in the Battersea area at around 8.52pm on Thursday. A spokesman said that officers attended the scene to find Hurley and another man, also believed to be aged 21, suffering from stab wounds.

Both were transported to a south London hospital in a condition described as not life-threatening, and a source has told media that while Hurley’s family “feared the worst”, the knife appears to have missed his vital organs.
Police are looking for four men who were reportedly seen getting out of a vehicle to attack the pair before fleeing the scene.
Miles Hurley has modelled for Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana, and is understood to be very close to his aunt Liz Hurley, who was in the US promoting the current season of The Royals when she heard word of the attack, and quickly flew back to the UK.
No arrests have been made as yet.
